Ads on Facebook and Instagram include an **Ad** label so that you know you are seeing an ad. * Organic content is any post or message that is not a paid advertisement. This includes content posted or sent by individuals, businesses, or creators to promote products, services, or brands, as long as they have not paid Meta to show it to people on Facebook or Instagram. * If you subscribe to Meta platforms[ _without ads_](https://www.facebook.com/help/262038446684066), you will not see ads, but you may still see organic content from businesses and creators promoting products, services, or brands, like branded content. ### About branded content Branded content is a form of organic content posted on Meta platforms for which the creator has been compensated by a brand or business partner. This may include when products and services are gifted for free. * Creators include celebrities, influencers or public figures that post branded content. * Publishers include media companies and entities that post branded content. * Business partners include brands, advertisers or marketers that sponsor branded content. Creators must tag the business partner when posting branded content on Threads, [_Facebook_](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1512279682412364) or [_Instagram_](https://help.instagram.com/1109894795810258). Our policies require anyone on a professional (creator or business) or personal account to tag business partners in their branded content when there's an exchange of value between a creator or publisher and a business partner. You can review [what is considered branded content](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/653146638176520) and when you need to use the paid partnership label. Branded content posts are not the same as the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram. You can [_create partnership ads_](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/546615926108316) in Meta Ads Manager if the creator has allowed you to boost their content. **Note:** Partnership ads and boosting organic branded posts are not currently available on Threads. Content that features an affiliate link should have the **Paid partnership with** label, but does not need to have a business partner tagged. ### Branded content requirements * Before posting branded content, you must comply with our [Branded Content Policies](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/221149188908254) and meet our [eligibility requirements for Instagram, Facebook and Threads branded content](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/906775900606811). * When you add a partner, people will see a **Paid partnership with** label above your posts. * Creators who make content that is used for partnership ads are paid off the platform. Advertising agencies and brands can only exclusively pay creators off the platform. Meta does not support payments made through the Instagram app or on Facebook.
