Your map
in the digital world

We say things as they are. This material will guide you through the key concepts — without jargon, without selling you unnecessary things. Only what you genuinely need to know.

Your Company

Purpose, goals, processes — the foundation of everything

KRC Triangle

The model we use for every decision

How it works

Frontend, backend — what runs where and why

Security

Real protection, not just marketing

We only do work that delivers real value. We don't try to sell unnecessary services just for profit.

Decision Framework

KRC Triangle —
how we see it

Before every technology decision, we use this model. When all three vertices work — the system works. When one is missing — problems arise.

K KNOWLEDGE R RESPONSIBILITY C CONTROL KRC balance

Knowledge — Awareness

Knowledge is the ability to be aware. The greater a person's ability to perceive the space, energy, matter, and people around them, the greater their knowledge.

Responsibility — Ownership

Responsibility is the ability to acknowledge that you are the source. It's not a burden — it's a strength. Whoever refuses responsibility also loses control over the outcome.

Control — Authority

Control means the ability to start, change, and stop. A system without control is a system that controls you — not the other way around. Real control always requires responsibility.

Knowledge, Responsibility, and Control are interconnected. Increasing any one of them automatically raises the others. Reducing one reduces the whole.

Your Company —
the why and the what

Before we choose any tool, we need to understand what it should serve. Technology serves people — not the other way around.

1

Company Purpose

Why does the company exist? What does it bring to the world? This is your Valuable Final Product. Every IT decision should directly serve this goal. Not just "having a system".

2

Owner's Purpose

What do you personally want to achieve? Freedom, growth, security, influence? A good IT strategy must serve this too — otherwise it's a burden, not a help.

3

Key Processes and Their Maturity

Where does the company create value? Sales, delivery, support, administration? Where are processes established — and where do they exist only "in someone's head"?

Where are you now? We'll mark it together

1 = exists only in someone's head  ·  3 = documented  ·  5 = fully automated and measured

Systems Architecture

Frontend vs Backend

Every digital application has two sides. One is visible, the other is not. Both are equally important — and each failure costs differently.

You browser / mobile
→
Frontend what you see
↔
Backend logic & rules
↔
Database your data
Frontend — The Face
  • Everything you see and click in the browser or on mobile
  • Runs directly on the user's device — not on a server
  • Speed and clarity = first impression = customer trust
  • A bad frontend drives customers away — even if the backend works perfectly
Backend — The Engine
  • Logic, calculations, business rules — invisible, but critical
  • User management, access control, transactions
  • Runs on remote servers — yours or in the cloud
  • Security vulnerabilities live here — not in the visuals

Analogy: The frontend is the shop window. The backend is the warehouse, cash register, and accounting. The customer only sees the shop window — but the entire business depends on what's behind it.

Artificial Intelligence in Practice

Automation
vs AI Agent

Two completely different tools that are routinely confused today. Choosing the wrong one can cost you money, time, and trust.

Automation — Precise Recipe
  • Does exactly what you programme — nothing more, nothing less
  • Input A always gives output B — no surprises
  • n8n on your own servers, Docker workflows, cron jobs
  • Cheap, fast, reliable for repetitive tasks
  • Invoices, reports, notifications, data transfers
AI Agent — Thinks and Decides
  • Makes decisions based on context, not a fixed recipe
  • Plans steps, chooses tools, adapts to the situation
  • Claude, GPT with tools, n8n + LLM integration
  • More expensive, less predictable — requires oversight
  • Analysis, communication, variable tasks
SituationRecommendationWhy
Invoice → PDF → email to customer⚡ AutomationAlways the same process, no decisions needed
Analysis of customer reviews🧠 AI AgentVaried text, requires understanding
Daily sales report⚡ AutomationPredictable output, low risk
Customer support responses🔀 CombinationTriage automatically, complex cases = agent
Systems Protection

Security —
real, not marketing

Security is not a product you buy. It's several layers of protection — each one stops a different type of attack. A missing layer = an open gate.

4
Hardening — Server Lockdown Disabling unnecessary ports, SSH keys, updates, firewall. 80% of attacks exploit these gaps. This is the foundation before anything else.
Foundation
3
OAuth 2.0 — Secure Authentication The standard behind the "Sign in with Google" button. You never store third-party passwords — only encrypted tokens with limited validity.
Identity
2
Traefik / Caddy — Intelligent Router Routes every request to the right place. Automatically issues HTTPS certificates — that green padlock in the browser.
Network
1
Cloudflare — Outer Shield Hides your IP address from the world. Blocks mass attacks (DDoS), filters malicious traffic before it ever reaches your server.
Perimeter

Zero Trust principle: we never trust, we always verify. Even an employee on the company network doesn't automatically have access to everything — every action is verified independently.

Solution Types

SaaS · Open Source
· Custom

Three paths to the same goal. The choice depends on how critical a given function is to your business — and where you want to maintain control.

SaaSOpen Source + DockerCustom Development
What it isYou pay monthly, it runs on someone else's infrastructureThe code is public, runs on your own serversDeveloped exactly for you, on your infrastructure
ExamplesSlack, Notion, Salesforcen8n, Nextcloud, Mattermost in DockerInternal tools, custom integrations
AdvantageImmediately available, no IT managementData stays with you, zero licences, full controlExactly what you need — nothing extra
RiskData with a third party, costs grow over timeRequires IT capacity, you are responsibleHigher upfront cost, longer timeline
When to chooseNon-core processes, fast startSensitive data, want independence from vendorsProcesses where other options are insufficient or limit growth
01

Company Communication

SaaS solutions (Slack, Teams) work for most. Your own server only if directly required by regulation or data sensitivity.

02

Process Automation

n8n or Activepieces self-hosted in Docker — full control over data and integrations. Scalable on your own infrastructure.

03

Core Business Processes

A custom solution built to measure — here you don't want to depend on an external vendor's decisions about pricing, features, or availability.

Discovery Interview

Questions that
reveal opportunities

These are the questions we ask at the start of every engagement. Not as an audit — but so we can see together where you really are and where you want to be.

Your answers
0 / 24
01

Strategic Layer

What is your most valuable output for the customer?
Where do you spend time that adds no direct value to the customer?
What would need to change to handle twice the volume without twice the team?
What happens if you personally disappear for a month?
02

Process Layer

Which processes do you have documented in writing, and who do they involve?
Where are you doing the same thing manually over and over — and what does it cost per month?
Where does information get lost or duplicated between people and systems?
What exists only in one person's head — and what happens when they leave?
03

Technology Layer

What systems and tools are you using today — and who is responsible for them?
Where is your customer data and contracts stored?
Who has access to what — and can we verify that?
What would happen if your main system went down tomorrow?
04

Cost Layer

What software are you paying for — and who actually uses it daily?
What does an hour of your time cost? And an hour of your key employee's?
Where are you paying for symptoms rather than solving the root cause?
What would you stop doing tomorrow if you could?
How We Move Forward

Four steps ahead

Discovery is a beginning, not a product. Based on what we find, we propose a path — and you decide when and how fast you want to go.

01

Discovery

A deep conversation about your company, processes, and goals. No assumptions — just questions and listening.

02

Architecture Proposal

Based on discovery we propose a concrete solution — with the current state, gaps, and priorities clearly mapped.

03

Your Decision

You choose the pace and scope. We can start with a small step or a full transformation — with no pressure.

04

Start Building

First concrete result — one automated process or system. Real value, not just a plan.

Discovery takes 60–90 minutes

The output is a concrete map of your situation and a prioritised proposal for next steps — not just a presentation.
